Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham announced that schools in New Mexico will be eligible to return to hybrid in-person learning or remote learning with expanded in person support beginning February 8, 2021. LMCHS has immediately begun the work of preparing to bring students back to our building in some capacity with our school reentry task force. However, the requirements to host students in person again are extensive and Las Montañas Charter representatives will be sure that when we are ready we will do so following all health and safety guidelines that will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
In order to meet all of the requirements and prepare an extensive plan, we will NOT be ready to bring students back to our campus for in-person learning on February 8. We will keep our school community updated on the progress of the school reentry task force. This work will begin with personal phone calls to all of our students and families with more information beginning the week of February 1.
