The New Mexico Climate Champions is a project to increase student awareness and response to issues related to climate change. LMCHS students received a grant to research, development, and implement a water conservation project. They came up with a media campaign that includes a call to action and encourages people to pledge to save water. The conference included the New Mexico Climate Champions, sponsored by the Asombro Institute for Science Education, from all over the state. Students presented their projects with their grant awards. An idea of a blurb to put up might be: LMCHS biology students present their water conservation project at the NM Climate Champions Summit, sponsored by the Asombro Institute for Science Education.
