The Juvenile Assessment and Reporting Center (JARC) is a program created by Family and Youth, Inc. (FYI) to support students and connect them with resources in the community. This program will complement the current discipline policy as students will be referred with behavior issues arise. JARC will follow up with students and their families.
Counseling for Mental Health
LMCHS will partner with FYI to have a social worker on campus for an additional eight hours per week. The social worker can meet with students in individual or group settings to help students with issues that come up in their lives. Students can request to meet with the social worker or can be referred by LMCHS Staff.
Mindfulness for Emotional and Physical Health
Current research on implementing mindfulness programs at schools shows that yoga and meditation can help students with a variety of factors including concentration, focus, compassion, physical health, and even happiness. LMCHS is excited to offer yoga and meditation programs for interested students.
